Nollywood actress, Yetunde Bakare left many stunned when she boldly stated she doesn’t believe in marriage.
The Yoruba actress, in an interview with Biola Bayo for her show, Talk to B, Yetunde reemphasized she doesn’t believe in marriage.
According to her, she has experienced a lot of things that have made her not believe in marriage anymore.
Though not disclosing further about the experiences she has had, she stated that she believes in love and is in a committed relationship with a man that wouldn’t lead to marriage.
Yetunde added that despite seeing her parents living happily in their marriage, it still hasn’t changed her mind.
“I have experienced a lot of things and I don’t believe in marriage anymore, but I believe in love. I don’t believe in marriage, we don’t have to be married to love each other. I can love you and respect you from afar without being a MRS.
I think generally, most men like a humble, respectful, down-to-earth, and patient, type of woman. Because as far as I am concerned even the Quran preaches love.
Being married is a good thing cause I have seen my parents married but it’s not for me.
Presently I am in a very serious relationship and I am in love genuinely but I don’t want to. I don’t see myself getting married a all”.
Yetunde Bakare advises people to chase money, not love
Her declaration isn’t surprising as months back, Yetunde Bakare had advised people to pursue money instead of love.
According to the mother of one, setting aside love and going after money is best because the latter is important. She also stated that being broke and heartbroken at the same time isn’t a good thing.
