It was reported that abductors have killed one of the six abducted sisters identified as Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar.

Recall that the deceased was abducted on January 2nd, 2024 along with her five other sisters and including their father. After their father was released by the abductors in order to enable him get N60 millon as ransom for his daughters to be set free before Friday, January 12, the abductors killed Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, the 2nd oldest of the six daughters because he could not meet up with the money before the deadline.

The former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi took to his microblogging to react to the death of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar.

According to the statement made known by Peter Obi, he said:”The reported tragic killing of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who was kidnapped alongside her father and siblings in Abuja, by bandits, not only shows how insecurity currently ravages the nation.”

More so, Peter Obi added to his statement that:”The fact that these kidnappings, killings and other reported cases of armed robbery and violent attacks, are now taking place in Abuja, the nation’s capital, is a clear pointer to how insecure the rest of the country now is. In a related development, suspected gunmen are reported to have set ablaze the palace of the Traditional Ruler of Isseke Community in Anambra State, HRH Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife. I am very concerned about how insecurity has continued to ravage every part of our dear nation.”

Speaking further, Peter Obi said:”The government and the security agencies, who are at the fore front of this war against insecurity, need to put in more efforts to rescue the remaining family members in captivity, ensure that every part of the nation is secure and that every Nigerian is protected in our nation.”

However, Peter Obi concluded that:”Hopefully, they will ensure that such violent crimes are no longer committed in our nation. I sincerely commiserate with the bereaved family and pray God Almighty to forgive Nabeehav Al-Kadriyar’s sins and grant her eternal rest and grant the rest of the family members their freedom from captivity. We shall conquer.”
