“Mr Ibu is Getting Worst Everyday”- Why we have not flown Mr Ibu abroad – Family

The family of legendary Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has said that the reason behind the delay in the actor’s departure is his doctors’ incapacity to pronounce him fit for flight…….CONTINUE READING>>>>>>

The family claimed in a statement on Sunday that the doctor’s opinion that he is not suitable for travel has resulted in the airlines refusing to approve the travel plans.

Parts of the statement say this: “We would want to thank well-wishers in Nigeria and the wider community for their tremendous financial, spiritual, and physical support in helping our father, Mr. John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), get back on his feet.

“We would like to dispel some false information about our father’s health that is circulating on social media. First of all, we would like to clarify that our father only had one leg amputated, not both. To be sure we didn’t lose him, the surgeons had to amputate the same limb again because the first one didn’t fully resolve his medical condition. Moreover, diabetes is not the cause of Daddy’s illness; rather, it is the result of chronic blood clotting in his leg due to damaged blood vessels, together with other health issues that put his life in danger and necessitated the amputation.

Lastly, the doctors’ designation of him as “Not Fit to Fly” is the sole reason the family has not yet had him flown out of the nation. Because no airline will fly him due to this tag, it has become nearly hard to get him out of the country for advanced treatment. Daddy is presently receiving treatment at one of the biggest and best hospitals in Nigeria, and the facility has access to a pool of highly knowledgeable medical personnel.

“We ask his friends, coworkers, admirers, and Nigerians in general to keep our dad in their prayers and to dispel any unverified rumors about his health as he recovers. We are grateful to all of the Nigerians who have supported us throughout this time. Godspeed to each and every one of you.

The sick actor is having difficulty speaking, according to what Emeka Rollas, the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, told reporters earlier.

Since March 2022, when the actor was hospitalized to Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre in Abuja, he has undergone many procedures.…….CONTINUE READING>>>>>>
