Ariyo, a legal professional working in Abuja, detailed the horrifying events through a series of tweets, revealing that despite his efforts to raise a substantial sum, the kidnappers refused to accept the ransom. Tragically, Ariyo disclosed that his first daughter, 13-year-old Folashade Ariyo, lost her life at the hands of the terrorists due to their inability to meet the demanded N60 million ransom.

Expressing desperation, Ariyo called on the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), led by Yakubu Maikyau, to urgently intervene in the rescue of his remaining family members. In his plea, he questioned when the government would take decisive action against the escalating insecurity in the country.

Reports indicated that the terrorists, masquerading as military soldiers, targeted the Sagwari village at 7:30 p.m., abducting 11 individuals, including Ariyo’s wife and children. Tragically, three occupants of the Sagwari Estate Layout were reportedly killed, including Folashade, whose lifeless body was discovered near a former military roadblock in Kaduna State.

The kidnappers, citing delays in ransom payment, escalated their demands, insisting on N100 million for each remaining victim.
