Ex-Minister of Communication Adebayo Shittu has stated that former President Muhammadu Buhari never threatened him or any of his colleagues in the government. He stressed that Tinubu, as president, is in no way comparable to Buhari as a leader. According to Shittu, Buhari is a reserved man who does not meddle with the specifics of his appointees’ work. He praised President Tinubu for his initiative towards new methods of leadership.
In an interview with Channels TV, he said, “Buhari didn’t give anybody any threat, Tinubu is not Buhari, In fairness to Buhari, he tends to keep to himself. He’s the type of worker that quits without even checking in to see how things are going for you. It’s a shame I have to say this, but it’s for the good of the country and the government that will be coming after him. Once you arrive, there is no turning back. During the next four years, President Buhari is unlikely to seek out any members of the current administration. We lacked a system to guide the development of policies and monitor their implementation. And I appreciate President Tinubu’s efforts to shake things up.”
