An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has asked President Bola Tinubu to sack the Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike or he “will collide with them”.

The cleric, in a video sermon of over 14 minutes posted on his official Facebook page, labelled Wike as “Satanic” for receiving the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria in his office.

The cleric in the sermon also asserted that President Tinubu would be stopped from serving for eight years if he failed to take action on Wike.

He said, “The Minister of the FCT is a Satanic person; I said it before when he was appointed and some people were grumbling. He has gone and brought the Israeli Ambassador, that’s what someone sent and I am yet to watch it. But what is confirmed is he said they will collaborate with the Israelis on Abuja’s security issues. Abuja will now become an extension of Tel Aviv and when they see anyone with a beard like us, they will say it is Bin Laden and we will be killed.

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi, (CP), Mr Bethrand Onuoha, has ordered for an investigation into the alleged clash between his officers and officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state.

The commissioner, in a statement issued by the Command’s Spokesman SP Williams Ovye-Aya in Lokoja, expressed surprise over the alleged incident.

Bethrand, who condemned the incident, stated that the clash was avoidable since both personnel misunderstood themselves.

“It was revealed that the operatives of NDLEA trailed the woman who turned out to be the wife of an Inspector of Police attached to Area Command Lokoja to the car where it was parked in front of Bishop Delisle College opposite the Area Command Office.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mr Nyesom Wike, has described a well-functioning parliament with the right support systems as a “cornerstone” of democracy.

The minister stated this at the opening ceremony of the 9th National and States Assembly Service Commissions conference, held at the Maryam Babangida Centre for Women Development, in Abuja on Wednesday.

Wike, who was represented by the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, also identified the legislative bodies as the heart of democracy, while individuals who support them were the lifeblood.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the release of N3.1 billion for the payment of gratuity to retirees and death benefits for families of the deceased under the Defined Benefit Scheme and the Contributory Pension Scheme.

This was contained in a statement by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, Chief Press Secretary to the governor.

It said Governor Sani remained committed in ensuring that upon retirement, workers who have served the State diligently have full access to what is rightfully theirs.

The statement further added that the state government, through the State Pension Bureau, is resolute in ensuring the continuity of the release of these payments for gratuity and death benefits to beneficiaries in the state.……CONTINUE READING>>>>>>
