Arsenal’s new star Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus net winner as Gunners outclass Man Utd in 3-1 win

Arsenal

Arsenal’s £105million new-boy Declan Rice announced himself at ten Emirates as he scored a stunner in stoppage time to clinch all three points for the Gunners against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, September 3.

The £105million summer signing scored an emphatic goal in the 96th minute to make it 2-1, before Gabriel Jesus sealed the victory with a third at the last kick of the game.

The match started with both teams evenly placed even though United opted not to start new summer signing Rasmus Hojlund opting for Frenchman Anthony Martial instead.

Both sides were unable to find the net after Marcus Rashford and Martin Odegaard’s first half goals, which came in quick succession.

As it approached full time, substitute Alejandro Garnacho scored following a quick counter attack but it was soon ruled for offside, with few minutes to stoppage time midfield star Rice marked his true arrival in north London by rescuing all three points.

The 24-year-old confidently chested the ball down from a corner before volleying it goal-wards.

His shot hit substitute Jonny Evans, who was making his first appearance for United since 2015, and hit the bottom corner beyond Andre Onana, sparking wild scenes in north London.

But the joy didn’t end there for the Gunners.

Substitute, Gabriel Jesus drove through the heart of the United half and made it 3-1 following a fast-paced counter-attack, a result that shell-shocked United supporters and sent the Emirates into a raucous meltdown.

This is already United’s season defeat of the season while their rivals Manchester City and Arsenal are yet to lose a game.
