He said that they will not be allowed to return to their homes until Israel secures the release of all its captives held by Hamas and other militant groups.
According to Al Jazeera, Gallant made the statement during a meeting with the relatives of the Israeli soldiers and civilians who have been missing or captured. He assured them that Israel will not stop its military operations until their loved ones are brought back.
“We will not rest until we bring back our boys and girls. If we have to introduce a ceasefire temporarily, we will fight again until the last abductee is returned,” Gallant said, according to the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth.
