In a video posted by TVC, the Nigerian Civil Defense Corps in Imo State has arrested two suspects allegedly involved in a chance crime. According to the NSCDC commandant, Matthew Ovye, his men arrested the suspects attempting to forcefully dispossess a 200L student of the Imo State University of her belongings. He also said that the suspect used charms on their unsuspecting victim and was able to lure her into releasing her belongings before luck ran out of them.
The victims said, “I was on my way to school around 8 a.m. A bus stopped in front of me, and these two guys came down and said I should remove the bangle because it is inappropriate and related to their cult group, and they said I had to buy something for them to appease them. In the process, the other one held my phone and held my hand out, saying that he was taking me to the place where I’d buy the stuff. So I was now going with them. We got to an area, and I met someone. I made eye contact with him, and he had to ask me to stop and come to him.
