The said photo has a goalkeeper tightening a voodoo otherwise known as ‘juju’ in Nigeria parlance around his waist
Many believe that the voodoo had aided his performance and has prevented the Nigerian team from scoring.
The POSTREPORTERS fact check team took a deep search of the photo using some fact check tools and discovered it’s not the Ivorian goalkeeper who was in goal at the final of the AFCON.
The ivorian goalkeeper at the AFCON is named Yahia Fofana and his name was boldly written on his back during the competition.
The goalkeeper in the picture being circulated has a jersey with inscription of ASC Diaraf at the back of his jersey. The club is a Senegalese side
