Bakare urged President Tinubu to consider cultivating a new set of proteges, emphasizing the importance of fresh perspectives and modern approaches in leadership.

In Bakare’s words: “I am from Lagos and I share your first name, Bola but that doesn’t stop me from saying it to you as it is. You are a mentor and you have proteges, there are instances you keep your proteges for too long. I am beginning to wonder, if a professor teaches you in school for 5 years, is he going to keep you? After 5 or 10 years he is probably going to tell you I have given you enough, take a walk, and go make life somewhere else.
