“Pastor are the Main Thieves”- Man arrested for stealing from three churches in Ogun

A man identified as Biola Adebesin has been arrested by the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, commonly known as So-Safe Corps, for allegedly stealing from three churches in Baba Ode and Iju communities within the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.……CONTINUE READING>>>>>>

According to a statement issued by the State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, Adebesin was apprehended during a routine patrol at about 04:30hrs on January 18, 2024.

When officers attempted to question him about the heavy load he was carrying on his head, Adebesin reportedly dropped the load and attempted to flee. After a subsequent search, the abandoned load was found to contain stolen items.

According to PUNCH reports, the recovered items included two Yamaha keyboards, one mixer engine, a decoder, accessories, one Tecno Android phone, and small Bontel phones. Adebesin was traced to a hotel where he usually lodged and was rearrested at about 08:00hrs.

Commander Ganzallo revealed that Adebesin confessed to stealing the items from three different churches—Redeemed Christian Church of God in Onibuku, Cherubim and Seraphim in Baba Ode, and Stronghold Ministry.

The suspect has been transferred to the Onipaanu Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.……CONTINUE READING>>>>>>
