Falana made this statement in a video shared on YouTube by POSTREPORTERS. He said in April of last year, the three tiers of government collectively shared 655 billion naira, however, since the fuel subsidy removal in June, the monthly allocations consistently surpassed the trillion-naira mark. He said in June, 1.9 trillion naira was shared, followed by a substantial 1.7 trillion naira in December.
In Falana’s words: “Tell us what the Governors are making, what the President is making monthly and the local governments. In April this year, you can google it, what the three tiers of government shared was 655 billion naira. Since fuel subsidy was removed in June, there is no month that they have shared less than 1 trillion naira. In June they shared 1.9 trillion naira.
