During a session with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan discovered $30 million earmarked for capacity building in the oil and gas sector, with an additional $20 million allocated for women in oil and gas businesses, amongst other intervention funds.
Questioning the dormancy of these funds, she urged the NCDMB to make the opportunities accessible to ordinary Nigerians.
In a statement shared with journalists, the spokesperson of the group, Mallam Ibrahim Dan-Musa acknowledged Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s diligence in scrutinising financial matters, commending her for setting a precedent for transparency and accountability in public service.
