The Wife of the deceased has alleged that three days ago her husband had disclosed to her that he had an altercation with the suspect and she suggested reporting the incident to the police due to concerns about potential harm. However, she lamented that her husband dismissed the possibility of an assassination. She recounted how her husband loved carrying Lekan along and recommending him for bricklaying and carpentry jobs.
She said in an interview with TVC, ”My husband used to take Lekan around and he recommends him to some people who need his service for Brick laying jobs and carpentry works. But suddenly, he [Lekan] said he wanted to be a Levite, my husband agreed to take him in as a Levite. If he receives milk from Church members, he will share it with Lekan.
All of a sudden, Lekan started misbehaving and my husband suspected it. So three days ago, my husband told me they both had a brawl in Church. I told him that we should report to the police station.
