In an interview with Punch, Prof Ibrahim highlighted that 40% of these cases involved women sentenced to death by stoning, often for alleged offenses. Additionally, she mentioned cases involving children facing amputation as punishment for stealing, and individuals being subjected to 100 lashes for consuming alcohol.
