Among the standout players featured in the Starting XI were three Nigerians—Captain William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, and winger Ademola Lookman. Troost-Ekong, the 30-year-old captain, contributed three goals to the competition and earned the prestigious Player of the Tournament award. Aina’s consistent performance, starting all seven matches for Nigeria, earned him a well-deserved spot in the lineup. Lookman, who plays at Atalanta in Italy, showcased his prowess by registering three goals and emerging as one of Nigeria’s top performers.

Ivory Coast was well-represented in the Starting XI, with three players—Jean Michael Seri, Ghislan Konan, and former Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.
