“If my party wants to win the election in Edo State, give it to Philip Shaibu but if they want to lose, they should give it to somebody else, not because I am a superstar but because I have the content, I have the quality, I have the experience,” asserted Shaibu.
In addressing his past confrontation with Adams Oshiomhole, Shaibu candidly admitted that people have questioned him about any regrets regarding the clash. He responded in the negative, stating that despite the current discord with the governor he supported, he harbors no remorse.
“I have apologized, and I am still apologizing to Oshiomhole for the language I used,” acknowledged Shaibu, acknowledging the need to mend fences. He emphasized that while he regrets the language used, he stands by the principle of supporting Governor Obaseki during the earlier political tumult.
