Economic Hardship: Main interest of the Public is good Governance & Transparency – Obi Reacts After Akpabio Said States Were Given Additional N30b To Address Food Scarcity

In a statement, Obi said the federal government deserves appreciation for releasing such a large sum for states to tackle current economic challenges. However, he called for more details on the disbursement to ensure proper usage of the funds intended to benefit the masses.

Obi stated that since the money aims to alleviate hardship, the public deserves transparency on the additional 30 billion naira doled out to governors totaling 1.1 trillion naira. He explained that openness allows citizens to monitor spending and guarantee funds appropriately help people during difficult times.
